Let's Create with Thermomix - Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Banana's always seem the be the first fruit to go off in our house but luckily my family loves a nice loaf of banana bread. We have been enjoying the one from the Everyday Cookbook but when Leanne from Lime & Mortar  uploaded this one on her blog, I simply had to try it.

The fact that it's made with Oats and Wholemeal flour makes it that little bit healthier than the traditional banana bread.

Onto the recipe we go.

2 Ripe Bananas
40g Butter
70g Raw Sugar
70g Rolled Oats
100g Wholemeal Flour
170g Milk
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Vanilla Extract/Essence/Paste
80g Chocolate Chips (and extra to sprinkle on top)

1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees fan forced. Line a loaf tin with baking paper.
2. Add bananas to bowl and blend for 5 sec, speed 6
3. Add butter and sugar and mix for 20 sec, speed 4
4. Add Oats, Wholemeal Flour,  Milk, Baking Powder and Vanilla Extract and mix for 20 sec, speed 4
5. Add Chocolate Chips and mix on Reverse, 10 sec, speed 4
6. Pour mixture into prepare tin and bake for 30-40 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the middle comes out clean.

You can turn these into muffins and replace the Chocolate Chips with other ingredients such as dried fruit, nuts or as Leanne said Peanut Butter. Yummy
